What is ZZtoZZ? 

A website at the intersection of travel & hobbies. Find inspiration to travel on our blog/newsletter "Culturaly Adventurous", and find ways to engage in "offline" hobbies ranging from boardgames, jigsaw puzzles and model kits, as you travel. 

Why "ZZtoZZ"? What does it mean?

We wanted something that's easy to remember - this is a palindrome, and hopefully it sticks. Plus, we've had this domain sitting around for a while, and figured we might put it to use. 

There are many other maps that do the same things.  

Yes, and this is another one. A common question that keeps popping up in some of the groups we are part of is "Any game stores in XYZ city?". We wanted to get as many things in one place as possible, and make it a ready-reckoner. Hopefully, it's useful to at least a few people, either to make new travel plans, or to find a store in an area where you're already traveling. .

A store I was looking for is not listed. 

This site is managed manually at the moment. Please use the submission form if you'd like to add a new store that's not listed, and we will add it soon! Over a period of time, we hope to cover as many regions as possible, and make it a really comprehensive guide. 

Why not vibe-code it? 

Well, we started off with that, and spent a day trying to debug something we didn't fully understand. Then we dusted off some unused digital assets we had as part of our regular business over at XOtoXO games, and the basic skeleton of the site was up in half a day. Consider it a minimum viable product, but we wanted to get something usable out as soon as possible instead of fighting with tech. 

What is "XOtoXO" that I see all around the site? 

XOtoXO Games is an indie boardgame publisher based in Chennai, India, making modern boardgames with Indian themes. This site is paid for and run by XOtoXO Games.
